*Keep wicks trimmed to ¼”
This keeps the flame at the appropriate burning height and helps to prevent sooting.  This rule
applies even after lighting the candle wick – trim it before lighting and trim it every couple of
hours after lighting (always extinguish first) as it will get too long when burning for long periods
of time.

*Center the wick every time you light the candle and after extinguishing
This is important for the stacked candles – to prevent liquid wax leaks – and for jar candles –
to prevent a hot flame from getting too close to the side and cracking the glass jar.

*Never leave a burning candle unattended.

*Keep burning candles away from children and pets.
Keep candles out of reach of both children and pets.  Liquid wax can get hot and cause burns.
Any open flame can be a fire hazard to children and pets.

*Always use a heat resistant holder to burn candles on.  And always ensure your
burning candle is on an even, stable, flat surface.
Candle holders and even the jars candles are in can get very hot.  Some furniture could get
scared by the heat.

*Keep flammable objects away from any burning candles.
This includes overhead counters (remember heat rises).

*Wait for wax to cool and harden before moving candle.
